Overview

Girlfriend Me ("the App") is an AI chat companion app developed by Futuron Inc. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Display Name: The name you enter during onboarding, used to personalize your conversations.
Chat Messages: Messages you send are processed by our AI service to generate responses. Messages are not stored on our servers after the conversation session ends.
Photos: If you share photos, they are sent to our AI service for analysis and response. Photos are not permanently stored on our servers.
Purchase Information: Subscription status is managed through Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not collect or store payment details.
Random Install ID: The App creates a random app-scoped identifier used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting. It is not an advertising identifier and does not identify you across apps.

Data Storage

Chat history is stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain server-side copies of your conversations. Your selected girlfriend type and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms.

Third-Party AI Service

Girlfriend Me uses Google's Gemini AI to generate chat responses. When you send a message or photo, it is transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing. Here's what you should know:

What is sent: Your chat messages and any photos you share are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate responses.
Google's processing: Google processes your data under the Gemini API Terms and Google Privacy Policy. Google's current terms govern its processing and retention.
Futuron storage: Futuron does not persist message or photo content on its servers after returning the response.
Explicit consent: The App asks for your explicit consent before sending any data to Google's AI service. You can choose not to consent, though this will prevent the chat feature from functioning.

Other Third-Party Services

Cloudflare: Requests pass through a Cloudflare Worker. The Worker hashes the random install ID and stores only a short-lived request counter for abuse prevention. Rate-limit records expire within 48 hours. Message and photo content is not persisted by Futuron.
Apple StoreKit: Used for subscription management. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.

Data Retention

We do not retain your chat messages or photos on Futuron servers. Local conversation data remains on your device until you delete it or the App. Hashed rate-limit records associated with the random install ID expire within 48 hours.

Your Rights

Delete all local data by deleting the App
Request information about your data by contacting us
Revoke AI data sharing at any time in App Settings; AI chat is blocked until you consent again

Children's Privacy

Girlfriend Me is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
